Things you will not have to worry about with a Rhino Grass Court:
- Maintaining a grass court Annual cost of mowing $ 80 hours per day, 365 days per year
- Water Consumption = (4.9 acre feet per acre per year)
- Over seed - 30#/M x 7200 sq ft = $1.00 pound = 450.00
- Hydro injection (core aerification) Two Times a year and a monthly top dressing
- Chemical treatments - Depending on climate, a couple times per year, summer, for insect control. And climate dictates disease pressure and control needed.
- Fertilizer etc 6-8# /M - N per year, 60 # gypsum/M/Yr (split into 4 apps quarterly)
- Depending on traffic, sodding/plugging baselines
- Paint 2x per week, this takes 3-4 man hours each application.
- Details - edging, checking sprinklers, hand topdressing base lines, water coolers, nets, sharpening mowers, equipment for aerification, verticutting weekly, and topdressing.
- Rolling the courts – using a slightly finer grade of sand (than USGA spec) for firmness, to reduce rolling frequency.
- Depending on water supply, booster pump for pressure, water quality effects.
